The pandemic has put a spotlight on the importance of psychological well-being. More Nova Scotians are acknowledging mental health problems and seeking help and the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction is steadily decreasing.

Now our community needs to ensure help is there when Nova Scotians reach out for support. In-person mental health and addiction support is readily available in every corner of our province. A clearly defined path to support and recovery. The right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Our goal is to reduce barriers to support, increase mental health equity, and support the provincial government’s commitment to universal mental health care by ensuring successful programs and initiatives are in place.
